How many sailings are there from Galway to Oírr?

There are two sailings per day from Rossaveel Ferry terminal, Connemara, Galway year-round.

If you are travelling from the Galway City Centre, you can use our shuttle bus service from the City to the Rossaveel Ferry Terminal or drive to the ferry terminal.

 

Can I walk around Inis Oírr?

Inis Oírr is small, approximately 3km in length and 2km in width so you can easily walk around the island.

Where is Inis Oírr?

Inis Oírr or Inisheer is the most easterly of the three Aran Islands which are located off the coast of County Galway on the west coast of Ireland. The name Inis Oírr directly translates as Eastern Island.

Is there a Shop (Grocery store) on Inis Oírr?

There's a grocery store called 'Siopa XL' on the island. Here you can pick up essentials for your stay on the island.

Do they accept cash or card on Inis Oírr?

Most bars, restaurants and shops accept card but it's good to bring cash for tours on the island just in case. There's an ATM in the main grocery store on the island 'Siopa XL' which is a short walk from the pier.

What should I bring to Inis Oírr?
