UPDATE: Statement from Island Ferries Teo regarding travel restrictions (Covid-19)
As a result of An Taoiseach’s statement on March 27th, Island Ferries will be following the guidelines set out by the government and the HSE with regard to the ongoing health crisis relating to Covid-19.
Following consultations with representatives of the emergency services on the Islands, below are the amended conditions for travel going forward: this service will be provided for essential/ emergency services only. Tourists are not permitted to travel, under any circumstances. Furthermore, we implore upon all Islanders not to make any unnecessary journeys.
The normal scheduled ferry service will continue but there are a number of amended conditions for travel:
One vessel will service all 3 islands.
The timetable is as follows (a bus will connect with all sailings):
Depart Inis Oírr: 08.00* & 16.30 * 08.45 on Sunday
Depart Inis Meáin: 08.10* & 16.40 * 08.55 on Sunday
Depart Inis Mór: 08.25* & 17.00 *09.10 on Sunday
Depart Ros a’ Mhíl: 10.30 & 18.00 *18.30 on Friday
We are closely monitoring the global and national situation and are actively taking steps to mitigate the impact and spread of COVID-19 (Coronavirus). We will continue to transport emergency/ essential workers and those providing essential services e.g doctors, Gardaí and others.
